Privacy policy

TeachPro provides software that teachers and coaching institutes use to run their own online academies. This policy covers what we collect from those teachers, and what we hold on their behalf about their students.

What we collect from teachers

  • Account details: name, email, phone number and institute name.
  • Billing information, handled by our payment provider — we do not store card numbers.
  • Content you upload: videos, notes, question banks and course material.
  • Usage logs, so we can tell whether something is broken.

What we hold on behalf of an institute

When a student signs up on an institute's site, that institute is the owner of the relationship and we are its processor. We store the student's name, contact details, enrolments, progress and payments so the institute's site can work.

Each institute's data is isolated at the database level, so one institute's queries cannot reach another's records.

Who else sees it

  • Our hosting and database providers, to run the service.
  • Our video and file storage providers, to deliver lessons and documents.
  • Payment providers, to take and settle payments.
  • Nobody else. We do not sell data, and we do not share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

For as long as the account is active, and for a period afterwards where the law requires it — tax records in particular. Ask us to delete an account and we will, subject to those obligations.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Students should raise these with their institute first, since the institute owns that relationship; we will act on the institute's instruction.
